Devin JSC donates over 100,000 bottles of water to the Bulgarian Red Cross
Bulgaria's leading bottled water company Devin JSC donates over 100,000 bottles of 0.5 liters of mineral and spring water to the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC). The donation is worth over BGN 53,000. The quantities are intended for hospitals in the country, volunteers of the humanitarian organization, as well as support for vulnerable people. The BRC will distribute and deliver the products according to the needs of the organization during the state of emergency. From the start of 2020 Devin JSC has donated more than 130,000 liters of bottled water to the BRC at the amount of over 114,000 leva for the needs of the nation.
There are a total of eight hospitals that urgently need bottled water supplies, according to the BRC. They are in the cities of Sofia, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Peshtera and Smolyan.
Devin JSC’s initiative with the BRC is part of the Spadel Group's pan-European effort to provide assistance to tackle the coronavirus epidemic. In a joint plan for solidarity, all entities in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France and Bulgaria will donate over 600,000 bottles of water in April.
Devin JSC has a long-standing tradition in corporate social responsibility in Bulgaria with a focus on the Devin region. At the end of March, the bottling company secured the necessary funds to the Devin municipality to purchase a COVID-19 apparatus and tests for the local hospital.
